TDF 2010 Stage 12: Tyler Farrar Abandons Tour de France

Tyler Farrar of Team Garmin Transitions has just abandoned the Tour de France, according to the Amaury Sports Organization or ASO.

No further word on why he has left the Tour, but it could have something to do with the broken bone in his wrist, as well as the pressure of competing in the mountains during this record-breaking heat wave in France.

Since Farrar is a sprinter, climbing will not be easy for him, and if he is experiencing too much difficulty now, the Pyrenees which start in two days with a grueling race to Ax-3 Domaines, would surely break him.
